Getting to know Dillsburg

Looking for a new home in Dillsburg? It’s a great time to buy real estate in Central PA and my site is a great place to begin your search. Nestled in the foothills of the beautiful and historic Blue Ridge Mountains with South Mountain in its backyard, Dillsburg offers the best of country living. At one time the settlement was known as Monaghan Settlement, at other times it was Dill's or Dills, Dillstown and even Dillston. It officially became known as Dillsburg in 1843. Residents of Dillsburg enjoy a sprawling country life with easy access to the Harrisburg Area, York, and Gettysburg. State game lands, Ski Round Top and Gifford Pinchot State park are closeby for outdoor enthusiasts. The community holds Picklefest annually in May and the Dillsburg's Farmers' Fair celebration is held annually during the third weekend in October. Among the many attractions are parades on Friday and Saturday evenings, a classic car and farm tractor parade Saturday afternoon, and Civil War reenactments. On New Year’s Eve, Dillsburg drops a larger-than-life pickle! Whether you are a first-time home buyer or you’re already familiar with the home buying process, you can be assured that I have the best tools available to help with your home search.
