Dillsburg is a charming place with something for everyone. Every year, the sleepy streets come alive during the farmer's fair; locals celebrate by riding in tractor parades and competing to create delicious ice cream treats as they fill up at the fire hall full of goodies from every resident's homegrown veg. Northern York County School District
The Northern York County School District is conveniently located between Harrisburg, the state capital to the northeast; bustling York on its southeast corner; and historic Gettysburg, snugly tucked away in southwest Pennsylvania. With 119 square miles of terrain residing across eight townships and three boroughs—Carroll, Franklin, Monaghan, Washington, and Warrington for its townships plus Dillsburg (the major population center with 2500 residents), Franklintown & Wellsville as its boroughs—it's no wonder why this school district has been so strategically placed.
The district is home to six school buildings, each with its unique purpose. High-schoolers attend classes in a state-of-the-art high school that houses grades 9 through 12. Those lower on the totem pole can take up residency at one of four elementary schools across town: Dillsburg Elementary, Northern Elementary, South Mountain Elementary, and Wellsville.
